‘Increased police’: Westfield Bondi shopping centre to re-open on Friday

Westfield Bondi shopping centre will re-open on Friday this week, says Sky News Business Editor Ross Greenwood.

Mr Greenwood said this comes after the centre was the scene of the “horrendous killing of six victims and another 12 wounded on Saturday”.

“The Westfield Bondi shopping centre … will re-open on Friday this week,” he said.

“The owner, the Scentre Group, had to balance the community grieving for those lost, including a Westfield security guard and the need for the centre’s retailers to continue their business.

“Rusanow said there will be increased police and security presence at all Westfield centres in the future.”
