Vlog 2203
In January 2018 Waratah Set A42 hit the buffers at the end of Platform 2 at Richmond.
This caused multiple carriages to be quite damaged especially the lead car which was D6342.
A42 was transferred to Cardiff from Richmond in 3 movements.
A couple of years later 7 carriages of A42 returned to Sydney.
The 8th car was a replacement car, D6379 from the prototype set which replaced extensively damaged D6342.
This set is in service with this consist today.
In early 2024 Waratah Set A15 hit a trailer at the Level Crossing Road Level Crossing in Vineyard causing damage to lead car D6415.
A month or two later after being transferred to Cardiff, 7 cars of A15 returned to Sydney.
D6415 remained at Cardiff for repairs.
The 8th car that returned to Sydney on A15 was D6342, the once extensively damaged car from A42.
So in the current day:
A42 is in service with D6379 replacing D6342
A15 is in service with D6342 replacing D6415
D6415 is at Cardiff undergoing repairs
