There are reports that the US and Israel will hold talks on alternatives to an Israeli invasion of Rafah in Southern Gaza. More than 1 million Palestinians are sheltering there and more than 600,000 of them are children.

UNICEF's spokesman James Elder is in Rafah, he's spent the last fortnight observing conditions for children across Gaza, including in the North where famine is reported to be imminent. He spoke to Sarah Ferguson.
