The Northern Lights treated stargazers in Greater Manchester to a dazzling display.

The pink and green sky lit up skies in a 'rare event' on Friday, May 10.

The visibility of the Northern Lights - also known as the aurora borealis - was increased on Friday because of an 'extreme' geomagnetic storm

Forecasters have now predicted a good chance the stunning show will repeat itself on Saturday night.
