Hundreds evacuated from Sydney mall after suspected stabbing, media reports say

Hundreds of people on Saturday (April 13) were evacuated from a Sydney shopping mall after a suspected stabbing, news site news.com.au reported.

Police officers and ambulances were seen outside the mall near the Australian city's popular Bondi Beach.

One witness said they saw a woman lying on the ground whilst running to safety. Another witness said she \"heard a shot\" before taking shelter in a store with her husband and a shop employee.

A police operation was underway after the suspected stabbing on Saturday afternoon, according to the news site. New South Wales state police said a police operation was underway but did not provide further details.
