We bought a "Free Palestine" and Pray for Palestine billboard for over 2,000,000 people to see. This war on Palestine has been going on for decades and really began in 1948 when Israel started taking over the Palestine land. By the time the fighting ended in a ceasefire the following year, Israel controlled most of the territory. This is similar to what is happening in Sheikh Jarrah right now with Palestinian families being kicked out of their home. In 2021, things have escalated since the start of the holy Muslim month of Ramadan in mid-April 2021, with nightly clashes between police and Palestinians.The threatened eviction of some Palestinian families in East Jerusalem has also caused rising anger. More than 2,700 Palestinians have been killed in numerous air strikes against Gaza by the Israeli military. while Israel has imposed a total blockade on the territory, denying it food, fuel and other essentials.
