Jérusalem : ils se préparent pour la guerre

Since 2015, Jerusalem has experienced a resurgence of violence between Jews and Muslims: this “knife intifada” has left more than 30 dead on the Israeli side and 200 on the Palestinian side. And on both camps, extremists are gaining ground every day.

The Esplanade des Mosques, a sacred site managed by Muslims, crystallizes these religious tensions, fueled by certain radicals who break the rule that Jews do not have the right to pray there.

To reassure themselves, some take self-defense classes or arm themselves, like Sarah and her husband. But the Palestinians, too, are worried, particularly because of the establishment of Jewish colonies on Palestinian territory, despite the condemnations of the international community.
