US Congress passes possible TikTok ban bill

Congress has passed a bill which could lead to social media app TikTok being banned in the US.

There are concerns the platform poses a security and privacy threat.

The proposal would require TikTok to divest from its Chinese-owned parent company, ByteDance.

Reportedly, the bill passed 360-58.

The Senate is expected to vote on the bill next week.
