Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu met soldiers of the 411th artillery battalion on Friday, amid the country's war against Hamas militants in Gaza. Netanyahu told the troops that the Israeli army was making advances in the Gaza Strip and that \"decisiveness\" will result in the elimination of Hamas.
Netanyahu was given a tour of a self-propelled cannon and shared Shabbat dinner with the men and women of the battalion. Israel has vowed to destroy Hamas after its deadly Oct. 7 surprise incursion, which killed at least 1,200. Gaza officials said the territory’s death toll surpassed 11,000 after Israeli air strikes and intense urban fighting in the north.
