US abstains as UN Security Council ends deadlock on Gaza ceasefire resolution | SBS News

After four failed attempts, the UN Security Council has voted to demand an immediate ceasefire in the besieged Gaza Strip, as well as the immediate release of all hostages held by Hamas. Israel has labelled the resolution 'shameful'.

The US, the UK and New Zealand have accused China of a sweeping cyber espionage campaign that’s impacted millions of people. The allegations have sparked angry denials from Beijing.

Russian President Vladimir Putin has for the first time acknowledged that Islamic militants carried out last week’s attack on a concert hall in Moscow. But he continued to suggest Ukraine might have been behind the attack, a claim dismissed by Kyiv and Western nations.
